Committee Purpose & Responsibilities
The Membership Committee helps grow and strengthen the Cedar Hill Collegiate PTSA by welcoming new members, encouraging participation, and fostering meaningful connections among families, scholars, educators, and community members. Through year-round membership recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts, the committee helps ensure our PTSA reflects the diverse voices of our school community.
Committee responsibilities may include:
Planning and coordinating the annual PTSA membership campaign.
Promoting the value and benefits of PTSA membership throughout the school year.
Recruiting parents, guardians, scholars, educators, grandparents, alumni, business partners, and community members to join the PTSA.
Welcoming new members and helping them become engaged in PTSA activities and volunteer opportunities.
Supporting membership tables at school events, open houses, orientations, and special programs.
Monitoring membership progress and celebrating milestones and achievements.
Working closely with other committees to encourage participation beyond membership.
Maintaining accurate membership records in accordance with Texas PTA requirements.

Membership Campaign Coordinator – Help plan and promote annual membership drives and recruitment initiatives.
Membership Engagement Coordinator – Welcome new members, encourage participation, and help connect members with volunteer opportunities.
Membership Events Coordinator – Support membership tables at school events, orientations, and PTSA programs.
Scholar Membership Ambassador (Middle & High School) – Encourage scholar membership, promote PTSA involvement among peers, and support membership events throughout the school year.
Membership Records Assistant – Assist with membership tracking, reporting, and maintaining accurate records in partnership with the Membership Chair.

🎓 Beyond the Classroom
The Membership Committee provides scholars with opportunities to develop leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills while helping welcome new members and strengthen school spirit. Through participation, scholars gain experience in customer service, relationship building, event support, and community engagement—valuable experiences that demonstrate leadership, initiative, teamwork, and professionalism. Eligible high school PTSA volunteer activities may also earn community service hours that can be applied toward school graduation requirements.
