Committee Purpose & Responsibilities

The Sales Committee manages the Cedar Hill Collegiate PTSA's spirit wear and uniform patch sales, helping families easily purchase required uniform patches while promoting school spirit through quality merchandise.

From product selection and vendor management to online sales, inventory, order fulfillment, and customer support, the committee oversees the entire sales process to ensure a positive experience for our school community.

Committee responsibilities may include:

• Managing the annual spirit wear program from planning through delivery.

• Researching products, obtaining vendor quotes, and recommending cost-effective merchandise.

• Coordinating the design, production, and ordering of spirit wear.

• Managing the PTSA online store, including product listings and order management.

• Monitoring inventory and coordinating product restocking.

• Managing the year-round sale and distribution of required uniform patches.

• Coordinating order fulfillment, delivery schedules, and customer communications.

• Assisting families with order questions, exchanges, and other customer service needs.

• Working with the Communications Committee to promote sales and important ordering deadlines.

🎓 Beyond the Classroom

The Sales Committee provides scholars with hands-on experience in customer service, retail operations, inventory management, and business fundamentals. Scholars gain practical skills in communication, organization, problem solving, and teamwork while supporting an important service for families. These real-world experiences demonstrate leadership, responsibility, initiative, and professionalism—qualities valued by colleges, scholarship committees, employers, military service programs, and apprenticeship opportunities. Eligible high school PTSA volunteer activities may also earn community service hours that can be applied toward school graduation requirements.
