Save the Date: Join us at the CHISD Back to School Rally on Sat, Aug 8th from 10am - 2pm at CHHS!
The Teacher Support Committee exists to encourage, appreciate, and support the incredible educators and staff who make a difference in the lives of our scholars every day. Through thoughtful recognition, meaningful acts of appreciation, and practical support, the committee helps foster a positive school culture where faculty and staff feel valued throughout the year.
Rather than focusing on a single appreciation event, the committee works to celebrate educators year-round by recognizing milestones, coordinating appreciation activities, and creating opportunities for families and the PTSA to express gratitude in meaningful ways.
Committee responsibilities may include:
Planning and coordinating teacher and staff appreciation activities throughout the school year.
Celebrating educator and staff recognition days, including Principal Appreciation, School Counselor Appreciation, School Nurse Day, Librarian Appreciation, Assistant Principal Week, Paraprofessional Appreciation, Custodian Appreciation, and other special observances.
Coordinating Teacher Appreciation Week activities.
Welcoming faculty and staff back at the beginning of the school year.
Organizing seasonal appreciation activities before holidays, grading periods, and school breaks.
Maintaining staff "Favorites" pages to help families recognize teachers with personalized gifts and notes throughout the year.
Coordinating faculty lounge or teacher pantry donation drives.
Organizing volunteer opportunities that provide additional support for educators, such as assisting with lunch duty, morning arrival, staff events, or other campus needs.
Partnering with families and the community to identify meaningful, budget-conscious ways to recognize and support our educators.
